Autosplice Strengthens Its Precision Metal Stamping Portfolio with Acquisition of Versatile Engineering Company


San Diego, CA. June 9, 2009, Autosplice continues to expand its capabilities and product offerings with the acquisition of Versatile Engineering Company of Gardena, CA.

The purchase of Versatile Engineering provides Autosplice with increased capacity to design, develop, and supply precision metal stampings and assemblies to the medical, industrial, consumer, and automotive markets. Versatile Engineering produces custom tooling using highly skilled, Class A tool and die makers. The acquisition provides Versatile's existing customers with a global footprint that provides more services for new and existing product lines.

The Autosplice-Versatile facility will remain within the greater Los Angeles area, where it has been producing complex stampings since 1970. The facility has over 30, 000 Square feet and utilizes over 25 Bruderer presses. The business has been known for its ability to design and produce intricate stampings in the medium to high volume range.
