ATA Sells Truck Fleet Management to Bobit Business Media.

ATA Completes Sale of Truck Fleet Management to Bobit Business Media



ARLINGTON, Va. -- Today, American Trucking Associations announced the sale of Truck Fleet Management, a part of its Transport Topics media group, to allied member Bobit Business Media.



"As ATA moves forward with our new strategic plan, we are focusing our efforts on what we believe are our core businesses," said ATA Executive Vice President Jeff Mason. "We are very happy that we were able to find a home for TFM in Bobit that appears to be a perfect fit for their audiences."



"We're excited to add the Truck Fleet Management audience to Bobit's stable of over 250,000 fleets receiving our magazines, using our online sites and attending our trade shows and conferences. American Trucking Associations have done a great job serving this market segment over the years and we look forward to continuing that tradition." said Sherb Brown, Bobit vice president and group publisher.



Terms of the sale were not disclosed.



"This move allows Transport Topics staff to focus on providing industry-leading coverage of the freight transportation industry," Mason said. "Between the weekly publication, iTECH and Equipment & Maintenance Update supplements, websites and other digital projects, TT will continue to be the authority on freight transportation."



Bobit Business Media brands include Heavy Duty Trucking, Work Truck Magazine, Automotive Fleet and associated websites, events and databases.   "This acquisition allows us to further establish BBM as the world's largest fleet publisher," said Brown.
