ATA Names Health-eScreen(TM) a Featured Product for the Trucking Industry

ARLINGTON, Va., -- Today, American Trucking Associations announced it has added Health-eScreen(TM), a new suite of medical services from eScreen that provides nationwide driver health services and physical exam administration through a completely paperless process, to its group of Featured Products for the trucking industry.

"Safety and driver fitness are important issues for motor carriers," said Warren Hoemann, ATA senior vice president of industry affairs. "Health-eScreen enables fleets to meet DOT regulations and address driver medical services in a consistent, thorough manner regardless of where drivers are based or are traveling. Health-eScreen could fill a vital role in keeping fleets moving safely and efficiently."

From a pre-exam electronic patient-history questionnaire to medical examiner selection, to then exam protocol and medical surveillance, Health-eScreen is completely digital. This new approach to administering driver exams allows DOT-regulated employers and safety professionals to access thousands of eScreen service-provider network locations to efficiently manage where the exams occur. This automated solution drives consistent application of company and regulatory standards and incorporates medical oversight of the examination process.

"eScreen is excited to be partners with the American Trucking Associations (ATA) to bring automation and technology that improves quality and compliance for DOT drivers and carriers, said Dr. Murray Lappe, eScreen's Founder and Chairman of the Board. "Health-eScreen alleviates the challenges of DOT exam management through a network of qualified physicians to enforce guidelines, deliver documents online and incorporate secondary medical review. The timing of this product launch complements the recent FMCSA introduction of the new National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) program. We look forward to working with the ATA in 2012 and beyond."
