ASTM International Committee on Vehicle Pavement Systems Honors Kevin McGhee with Tilton E. Shelbourne Memorial Award



W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa. — Kevin K. McGhee, associate principal scientist at Virginia Transportation Research Council in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA, has received the Tilton E. Shelbourne Memorial Award from ASTM International Committee E17 on Vehicle Pavement Systems.



A member of ASTM since 1997, McGhee was specifically recognized for his outstanding work in the vehicle pavement industry and his active contributions as past chairman of Committee E17.



Prior to beginning his career with Virginia Transportation Research Council in 1992, McGhee was a bridge design engineer at Dewberry Engineering in Fairfax, Virginia. McGhee holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech and earned a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Virginia.
