ASSA ABLOY Door and Perimeter Solutions Set to Impress at ASIS 2014
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — The security world is gearing up for the ASIS International 60(th) Annual Seminar and Exhibits (https://securityexpo.asisonline.org) taking place in Atlanta, Georgia this week.
Ameristar, a recent ASSA ABLOY acquisition will be at the show with one of their many products, the Stalwart anti-ram perimeter barrier. This barrier recently achieved an M50/P1 rating per ASTM F2656 (standard test method for vehicle crash testing of perimeter barriers). The secure design of the Stalwart M50/P1 can stop a 15,000 lb truck, traveling at 50 mph in less than three feet. This solution offers simplistic tandem installation with seamless integration into Ameristar security fence solutions. This excellence in engineering has not gone unnoticed, as the Stalwart M50/P1 design will be awarded at this week's expo with a prestigious ASIS Accolades award for 2014.
As an added benefit for those exploring the show floor, door and frame manufacturers from ASSA ABLOY Group brands will be showcasing solutions for a variety of applications. Expo attendees will have the opportunity to see full size displays for windstorm FEMA openings, bullet resistant openings, and fiberglass reinforced polyester openings for high use areas. Windstorm resistant openings have been certified through UL to FEMA 361 and 320 test standards and are available as preassembled openings, complete with ASSA ABLOY doors, frames, hardware, and accessories. The bullet resistant assembly has been fabricated with the finest UL listed armor panels, for use in government and military agencies; designed to provide the best practical protection for threat levels one through eight.
