ASC to Launch Industry Awards Program in 2017
Membership Committee to Spearhead Innovation Oriented Efforts; Calls for Volunteers
Bethesda, MD – The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) announces that it is launching an innovation oriented award program in 2017. The working title of the program is, “ASC’s Innovation in Application” Award, and is being designed to highlight the use of an adhesive or sealant technology in a new or novel application.
“The ASC Innovation in Application Award will recognize and honor the use of an industry technology that has impact in a new or different way, in order to promote the innovation orientation of our industry,” says Matthew E. Croson, President of ASC. “Innovation is one of five key strategies making up the Council’s Long Range Plan, and this new program will focus on promoting our industry while recognizing one of its members.”
The award will be overseen by the ASC Membership Committee and is currently in product development. The committee is reviewing many ideas on how to approach this new program, and will be working on this program with a goal of announcing it in October 2016, and awarding its first recipient at the Spring Convention and EXPO in 2017.
“This new program will add value to the ASC Spring Convention and EXPO as it will give attendees a chance to come together as an industry, celebrate innovation from a member company, and network with attendees participating in the leading industry event, on an annual basis,” adds Croson. “ASC members are engaged in solving some of the world’s leading challenges and it’s time that we honor some of the most innovative approaches that are being shared by our innovative member companies.”
