Material reduction; instead of machining down from large ingots, ART Technologies is able to coin from strip material and coin into finished shape. The machined part is for a defense supplier, ART Technologies has met all of the defense/government regulations.
The world class machine shop thought ART Technologies may produce something close to desired, but the part would still require rough machining. To their surprise they now have parts that completely eliminate the rough machining process.
