Arrow ECS Appoints Bill Corey to Vice President, Operations & Logistics
ENGLEWOOD, C.O. - Nov. 4, 2008 - Global oversight over all customer support functions within the Enterprise Computing Solutions business of Arrow Electronics Inc. [NYSE: ARW] is the new responsibility of Arrow ECS executive Bill Corey, who has been appointed vice president of operations and logistics.
Previously serving as vice president of Arrow ECS' North American customer support services operations, Corey's post has been expanded to include managing Arrow ECS' customer support services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
"As Arrow ECS continues our international expansion, Bill will have a key role in driving operational excellence and innovation in the services we provide to our customers," said Andy Bryant, president of Arrow ECS. "Bill will bring increased efficiency and coordination to critical services across our global organization, such as partner financing, warehouse logistics and solution integration.
Coming to Arrow in 1998, Corey has held a wide range of senior-level positions within Arrow ECS, including director of credit and director of customer support services. He brings nearly 25 years of experience in customer service. Prior to joining Arrow, he served as vice president of business services for F. Schumacher & Co. and director of credit for Salem Carpet Mills.
Corey holds a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's of business administration from Wake Forest University.
