ARPAC to Demonstrate Full Packaging Line Integration Capability at Pack Expo Las Vegas Show, Booth #1000!

ARPAC LP will be making its biennial pilgrimage to Las Vegas next month for Pack Expo. The ARPAC booth will feature three fully integrated packaging lines; a beverage line, a food line, and a pick-to-order fulfillment line. ARPAC manufactures end of line packaging systems consisting of shrink bundling, shrink wrapping, corrugated tray and case packing and pallet stretch wrap systems. The aim, this year, is to provide visitors with an in-depth understanding of how ARPAC can assist them in implementing a lean packaging line within their own production environments. This includes the wide use of robotics for palletizing and pick and place operations, traditional palletizing systems, SCADA monitoring systems, Shelf Life Booster, the latest technology in Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP), and much more.

The Beverage line features the latest ARPAC BPMP-5000 multipacker with an updated tunnel design for optimal package appearance. This will be followed by a Motoman robotic pick and place system that will feed multipacks into an ARPAC EL-2000 tray packer followed by a 45TW-28 tray wrapper. The trays will then be fed into ARPAC's brand new Schur T25/PAC-4R5 automatic palletizing and stretch wrap combination. Additionally, ARPAC's enhanced HMIQ (Human Machine Interface Quotient) will be on display to monitor machine performance and productivity.

The food line will consist of a fully integrated lean packaging cell featuring the latest in modified atmosphere packaging technology. This new Shelf Life Booster Technology by ARPAC-Hefestus is an exciting new joint venture with Hefestus LTD of Israel.

The ARPAC-Hefestus HERA-SLB system will create MAP trays with Oxygen residuals of 0.5% or less. These trays will then be picked up by a Motoman robot and placed into the ARPAC DPM-2000 wrap around tray/case packer. The packed trays will then be fed into an ARPAC AGR-24 stainless steel shrink bundler. At the discharge of the bundler, the same Motoman Robot will pick up the wrapped master trays and palletize them directly on the ARPAC POWER Series PA-High Profile stretch wrap system.

The Pick to Order line will demonstrate ARPAC's capability in today's internet retail fulfillment arena. Using integrated SmartKarton tray erecting and shrink tunnel solutions with GRSI order tracking software, this line will erect a SmartKarton tray, load the product into the tray and secure the product with the SmartKarton shrink tunnel. The tray will then be fed into ARPAC's new XLR8 shrink wrap system which will secure the product for shipping. Labels generated by the GRSI software will then be applied and the packages will be sorted into shipping containers.
