Aquatech Wins Two Global Water Awards
CANONSBURG, March 2006 - Aquatech International Corporation, a leader in the field of desalination, water reuse, and zero liquid discharge, recently received two Global Water Awards at the award ceremony last week in Dubai.
For the category Industrial Water Project of the Year which features the project commissioned in 2005 which represents the most impressive technical achievement for an industrial project, Aquatech took first place for their Zero Liquid Discharge equipment at the Magnolia Power Project in California.
For Desalination Company of the Year-Small Plants category which features the desalination plant supplier specializing in plant capacities of less than 10,000m3/d which has made the most significant contribution to the advance of this sector of the desalination industry during 2005, Aquatech was given the award of Distinction.
The Global Water Awards have been set up by Global Water Intelligence magazine to recognize the innovation and commitment of the companies and organizations working to ensure that there is water for all in generations to come. The awards were given on the basis of over 1200 votes cast by subscribers of Water Desalination Report, Global Water Intelligence and members of the International Desalination Association over the last month.
