Carbon Resources Management Team has over 70 years of experience in the activated carbon industry. Our Sabre series® activated carbon products are the most diverse line of activated carbon products on the market. Additionally our Spartan Series® specialty activated carbon products are surface modified to be extremely effective in various applications. We also provide a line of Guardian Adsorber Series® which are off-the shelf as well as custom built activated carbon adsorption systems.
Despite this year's limited attendance at the Water Quality Association Trade Show in Rosemont, Illinois, the presentation given by Robert Potwora certainly was well attended. The presentation was on "Chlorine versus Chloramine Removal with Activated Carbon." We had several people stop by the booth afterwards asking for a copy of the technical bulletin on the presentation.
There are some important differences in treating chloramines versus traditional chlorine removal with activated carbon. These differences are critical in having an effective system. As concerns over chloramines continue to grow, manufacturers like ourselves are coming up with new innovative products to efficiently remove chloramines. Our Spartan Series® product has several advantages over our competitors such as cost, activity, dust and hardness.
