These include a presence on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube, as well as a blog.

Facebook: ANSI's Facebook page includes a company overview, upcoming events, photographs, and discussions amongst stakeholders. With over 600 fans, the Institute's Facebook page provides a simple way for the standards community to gather and share information on ANSI and related topics.

Twitter: ANSI also has a presence on Twitter under the username ansidotorg. Tweets link to the Institute's news items, articles that may be of interest to stakeholders, ANSI workshop reports, and more. Nearly 400 Twitter users follow the ANSI page.

LinkedIn: Members of the standards community are also connected through ANSI's LinkedIn group page. Accessible to registered users of LinkedIn, the page provides a networking point for those in the standards community, both in the U.S. and abroad.

The Healthcare Information Technology Standards Panel (HITSP) also has a LinkedIn group page to connect members and interested stakeholders.

YouTube: ANSI's YouTube channel, youtube.com/ansidotorg, brings multimedia information about the Institute to stakeholders worldwide. Uploaded videos include ANSI president and CEO S. Joe Bhatia's speech at the NASDAQ opening ceremony in April 2009, a historical overview of the Institute, and an American Sign Language translation of ANSI's recent workshop report on emergency preparedness for persons with disabilities.

Blog: The Institute also maintains a blog that publishes current information to interested stakeholders at ansidotorg.blogspot.com. Newly available standards, articles and websites of interest, and information about Technical Advisory Group (TAG) work, upcoming workshops, and other points of interest are all included in the blog.

ANSI's participation in social media is constantly expanding to bring pertinent information to our members and stakeholders. For more information on the Institute's social media activities, contact Bob Russotti, ANSI senior director of online marketing (brussotti@ansi.org; 212.642.4910).
