Comments Sought on Proposal for New Field of Activity in Plastic and Rubber Machines
Press release date: March 14, 2012
The proposed scope of activity would cover standardization related to machines used for the preparation and processing of plastics and rubber.
According to UNI, plastic and rubber enterprises play an important role in a range of industries, including the automotive, electrical/electronic, and packaging sectors. If approved, the proposed standardization activity would aim to globally harmonize terminology, principles, and methodologies to achieve safety in the design and construction of these machines, and identify hazards during the relevant phases of the machine life cycle.
All comments on the proposal should be sent to Steven P. Cornish, ANSI senior director for international policy (email@example.com). Feedback received by the April 23 deadline will be reviewed and compiled for the recommended ANSI position and comments, which will then be presented to the ANSI ISO Council (AIC) for formal approval.
