Alert Feature Informs ANSI Members of Changes and Additions to Document Library

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is pleased to make its members aware of a helpful alert feature within the members' document library. This feature allows users to set up alert requests on specific folders and pages within the library. Once the alert is in place, the system will automatically send an email to the user whenever the folder or page is modified.

The new feature will help ANSI members easily keep abreast of the latest changes and additions to information that pertains to their work. For example, participants in the Institute's policy committees and councils may choose to set up an alert on relevant committee sites so that they are alerted every time new content is posted.

The alerts can also be tailored to fit the user's preferences. Members can choose to receive an email alert every time a change is made; or, they can choose to receive a single email alert summary that includes all of the changes made to the page that day. For areas of the library that have a high level of activity, this option may be preferable.

ANSI has created an informational document instructing users on how to set up alerts and how to change their preferences. Click here to view these instructions.
