ANSI issues call for nominations for policy committees.

July 1, 2011 - ANSI invites all members of ANSI Federation to recommend qualified candidates for membership on Institute's policy and other committees. Three year term runs from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2014. Committees seeking new members include Conformity Assessment Policy Committee, National Policy Committee, Intellectual Property Rights Policy Committee, International Policy Committee, and ANSI ISO Council.

ANSI Announces Call for Nominations for Policy and Other Committees

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) invites all members of the ANSI Federation to recommend qualified candidates for membership on the Institute's policy and other committees. The three-year terms begin January 1, 2012, and conclude December 31, 2014. Policy committees seeking new members (voting and non-voting) include:
Conformity Assessment Policy Committee (CAPC)
National Policy Committee (NPC)
Intellectual Property Rights Policy Committee (IPRPC)
International Policy Committee(IPC)
ANSI ISO Council (AIC) Several program oversight committees also have nominations processes to facilitate the identification of candidates from ANSI members. These are included in this call for nominations as well; more details are available on the nomination form. To nominate a candidate, submit the nomination form by Friday, July 29, 2011. Candidates being nominated for voting positions must also include a letter of corporate support and a biographical statement setting forth the candidate's relevant qualifications. (Please note: Nominations of ANSI individual members, government members, and corporate officers do not require a letter of corporate support.) Voting membership in the Institute Policy Committees is limited to approximately thirty-six persons appointed by the Chairman of the Board and approved by the Executive Committee of the Board from among eligible nominated candidates.
