ANSI Highlights Personnel Changes within IAPMO Group.

People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards and conformance community.



The IAPMO Group, a member and audited designator of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has announced the promotions of two employees.



Duane Huisken has been promoted to senior vice president of marketing and communications. Since 2007, Mr. Huisken has worked with IAPMO to develop unique messaging that distinguishes the services and benefits of each business unit in the group. He has also overseen IAPMO’s increased social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.



IAPMO also announced that Mitchell Morris has been promoted to senior vice president of information technology. Mr. Morris has also been with IAPMO since 2007, overseeing technical infrastructure and development capabilities that have led to significant technological advancement for the organization. Prior to IAPMO, Mr. Morris was a managing partner at Strategic Point, LLC.



“Duane and Mitch oversee two essential aspects of the IAPMO Group’s shared services, and they have worked tirelessly to support all of our global services from both an internal perspective and for our members and clients,” said IAPMO CEO GP Russ Chaney.



SAE International, an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has announced two recent staff changes.



Bill Visnic has joined the organization as editorial director for SAE media products. Mr. Visnic will oversee the organization’s mobility media group, including the magazines Automotive Engineering (AE) and Off-Highway Engineering, web content, and technology newsletters. He brings with him over 27 years of industry experience, having worked as an analyst and senior editor with Edmunds.com and senior technical editor for Ward’s Automotive.



SAE also announced that Lindsay Brooke has been promoted to editor-in-chief of Automotive Engineering magazine. Mr. Brooke has been with SAE for 10 years, and has over three decades of experience as an automotive journalist and award-winning editor. Prior to joining SAE, he was a technology analyst at CSM Worldwide, and managed public relations for Chrysler’s engineering and technology department. He has authored five books, including SAE International’s Chevrolet Volt-Development Story of the Pioneering Electrified Vehicle.
