ANSI Highlights new DIN chairman and SCTE marketing director.

People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards and conformance community.



The German Institute for Standardization (DIN) has named Christoph Winterhalter its new executive board chairman. He will assume the position on July 1, succeeding Dr. Torsten Bahke after his retirement in 2015.



Mr. Winterhalter has worked with ABB since 1995, currently serving as of group vice president, hub business unit manager, control technologies. In this position, he leads the organization’s controls system business in Central Europe. Prior to this role, Mr. Winterhalter held positions at ABB including head of the global business for machinery controls and automation, and director of the German Corporate Research Center. He has been a member of the VDI/VDE GMA executive board since 2012, and works closely with ZVEI and the Industry 4.0 platform.

DIN has already achieved several pivotal milestones in supporting the success of German industry in innovative areas such as Industry 4.0, logistics, and the energy turnaround, and will continue down this path with Mr. Winterhalter at the helm.”



The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) has announced that Zenita Henderson will join the organization and its global arm, the International Society of Broadband Experts (ISBE), as director, marketing operations and business development. In this role, Ms. Henderson will promote the value of SCTE/ISBE to stakeholders within and beyond the industry.



Ms. Henderson brings with her almost 30 years of experience working with General Instrument, Motorola, and ARRIS, where she developed programs to improve visibility and promote global thought leadership. She is currently the vice president of the Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT)’s Philadelphia chapter, and sits on the executive committee of One Day Immersion in TV, Cable & Digital Entertainment. She is also a member of Cable Television Pioneers.
