Vote for Director-at-Large Candidates for the 2016 ANSI Board of Directors
Official Vote to be Held at ANSI Annual Business Meeting on September 30; Non-Attendees Must Contact ANSI to Designate a Proxy
This fall, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) will choose candidates to fill 11 director-at-large seats, a full one-third of the Board. Once approved, the selected board members will serve their terms between January 1, 2016, and December 31, 2018.
Due to changes to the official voting procedures that came into effect last year [see related article, all ANSI members must vote either in person at the ANSI Annual Business Meeting and Luncheon, which will take place on September 30, 2015, or must designate Patricia Griffin, Secretary of ANSI, as their official proxy.
The Board is responsible for the management and control of the activities, property, and affairs of ANSI, including the strategic direction of the Institute, the annual budget, and the scope of responsibilities of the Board and Institute Committees, Councils, and Boards.
For those voting in person, the Annual Business Meeting will take place on September 30 from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the FHI 360 Conference Center (1825 Connecticut Avenue, NW, 8th Floor) in Washington, DC. All ANSI members can attend the meeting at no charge. However, advance registration is required by September 18, 2015; online registration is available.
In order to designate a proxy, ANSI members are asked to fill out the official proxy form, which is available online, and return it to Tricia Power, ANSI manager of corporate governance and legal affairs.
