Ansell Names Tom Thornton as Director of Sales as Brent Rossi Retires


RED BANK, NJ (October 7, 2008) - Ansell Healthcare announced the appointment of Tom Thornton as the Director of Sales, Occupational U.S. He will replace Brent Rossi who retired in September after 35 years with the company.

Thornton joins Ansell from Gojo Industries where he served as vice president of sales. He was responsible for the sanitary channel, representing a large percentage of Gojo's North American revenue. Prior to Gojo, Thornton held positions of executive director of sales with American Greetings and a general manager and vice president for the consumer imaging division of the Eastman Kodak Company.

In his role with Ansell, Thornton will be responsible for the occupational U.S. regional sales teams and the development and implementation of the strategic sales initiatives.

"Brent has been a valuable asset to Ansell over the years and was instrumental in transforming our U.S. sales team. Rossi started his career with Ansell in 1973 as a territory manager in Minneapolis. In 1977, he relocated to Atlanta as the southern regional sales manager and was promoted in 2001 to his current position as director of sales.
