An Unbeatable Team - Huhtamaki Films Presents two Product Innovations at Interpack
Sensational, super, Straight+: At Interpack in Düsseldorf, the exhibition crew consisting of 14 people from Huhtamaki Films has once again been successful. Together with its sister company Flexible Packaging, the film specialist based in Forchheim presented Straight+ as a packaging component to an international audience from 120 different countries.
Interpack visitors were full of praise for the sister company's new product: the combination of Straight+ & Easy Tear Everywhere™, packaging in the form of a stick pack. "We are very pleased with the positive feedback and the amount of international visitors", reported Sonja Haug, Sales Director Consumer Markets at Huhtamaki Films EMEA. "Customers and packaging designers were excited about our solution. At our stand they were already thinking about ways how to use and design this unique packaging."
Safe and stable
A stick pack is a packaging that enables perfect portioning. It reflects the convenience trend in the industry that stands for simple and comfortable handling. Straight+, one of four new products released this year, hereby plays a decisive role. With its bidirectional tear qualities, the film functions better than any paper and can be torn lengthwise or crosswise in a controlled manner. Consumers and packaging manufacturers do not need to make compromises on safety or stability: They can rely on the quality of a Huhtamaki film.
The Interpack appearance offered even more: on the 300 square metre stand, visitors were able to take a closer look at another product innovation. The environmentally friendly packaging Sustain+ stands for sustainability and made its debut in April, at INDEX14 in Geneva.
Interpack is one of the world's most important trade fairs of the packaging industry and the associated process industry. Every three years, manufacturers, experts and professional visitors can find out about developments and trends on the packaging market. Interpack 2014 sets a new record, boasting 2,700 exhibitors and 175,000 visitors from 120 countries.
