Amphenol Aerospace Names TTI, Inc. Global Distributor for Fiber Optic MIL-DTL 38999 Series III Connectors

SIDNEY, N.Y. – Amphenol Aerospace, a division of Amphenol Corporation (NYSE: APH) has named TTI, Inc. as a value-added assembler for their ARINC 801, MT, and CF38999 tight tolerance Fiber Optic MIL-DTL-38999 Series III circular plug and receptacle connectors.

Amphenol's ARINC-801 product portfolio is available in standard shell size/insert arrangements for multimode and single-mode fiber applications. Other options exist for hermetically sealed bulkhead feed-through connectors as well as sealed cable assemblies.

The MT product line delivers high fiber density in a small circular connector package with all the advantages of a MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connector. Single and multi-mode PC and APC configurations are available.

Amphenol's CF38999 tight tolerance product line is designed for use in size 16 legacy D38999 Series III and CF38999 connectors. CF38999 are the same as the standard D38999, except they hold tighter tolerances on shell keying and insert geometry. These termini offer high optical performance available in single and multi-mode fiber applications.

Coupling these high performance product portfolios with TTI's ability to assemble rapidly provide much benefit to customers. TTI will be able to assemble with any shell material, plating, and rotation rapidly for quick reaction to the market place.

Jared Sibrava, Director of Amphenol's High Speed Division, explained, "I am very pleased to announce this partnership between Amphenol and TTI. The use of fiber optics in the Defense and Commercial Aerospace business is increasing. Having the primary interconnect components for fiber optic systems rapidly available will ensure a smooth integration for prime integrators. TTI will be able to build all of our technology and ensure customer satisfaction."
