AMCA International Announces Appointment of New Chair and Vice-Chair for Pacific Rim Region



Arlington Heights, IL, USA---The Air Movement and Control Association International, Inc. (AMCA International) announced the appointment of the new Pacific Rim Region Chair, Ms. Bek Siew Hup, and Vice-Chair, Mr. David Tang, for the Association.

Recently, AMCA Executive Director, Barbara Morrison and staff attended the China Refrigeration Expo held April 7-9, 2010 in Beijing, China. In conjunction with the Expo, AMCA's Pacific Rim Region Business Meeting and Dinner was held on Thursday April 8, 2010 at the Fairmont Beijing Hotel, in Beijing, China. This year's region meeting attendance was the highest number ever, with an unprecedented 53 participants!

The meeting attracted Members and invited Guests from China, India, Singapore, Korea, Taiwan, Italy, UAE, Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines. Agenda topics included; State of the Association by AMCA Executive Director, Barbara Morrison, status report on AMCA Authorized Certified Ratings Program Agents; CRAA QCC, GMPI, MPI Korea, and AFMA Singapore, and meeting member needs in the Pacific Rim Region.

Mr. C.F. Yang of Kruger Asia, the longtime Pacific Rim Chair stepped down and the AMCA Regional members appointed the new Pacific Rim Region Chair, Ms. Bek Siew Hup, of Azen Manufacturing Pte. Ltd., and Pacific Rim Region Vice-Chair, Mr. David Tang, of Kruger Ventilation, Asia. Also in attendance were Independent AMCA Accredited Laboratories and CRP Agents from Singapore (AFMA), and South Korea (MPI). AMCA's Authorized Certified Ratings Program Agent from China (CRAA QCC), was also in attendance. After the meeting, Barbara Morrison, AMCA Executive Director, stated "AMCA anticipates that both Ms. Hup, and Mr. Tang will no doubt continue to propagate the good work that Mr. Yang and AMCA have achieved in the Pacific Rim Region."
