Alvey Palletizing Brand to Launch Under New Owner at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2009

Cincinnati, Ohio, October 5, 2009 -Intelligrated®, a leading American-owned automated material handling solutions provider, announces that it will launch its Alvey® palletizing line at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2009. Intelligrated, which acquired exclusive worldwide rights to Alvey palletizing products, engineering and manufacturing capability through its purchase of FKI Logistex operations in North and South America in June 2009, is entering the manufacturing and packaging markets by capitalizing on the Alvey brand's long-standing reputation for reliable performance.

Intelligrated is committed to investing in the Alvey line, which has an installed base of over 5,000 machines in the North American food, beverage and consumer product manufacturing markets, and a legacy of 60 years of superior performance.

At one Hershey Company manufacturing facility, Alvey conventional and robotic palletizers provided the flexibility and dependability the company's engineering group needed to automate palletizing of the company's diverse product line. "I depend on my Alvey palletizer," said Alex Diaz, senior engineer, The Hershey Company. "It has proven to be a reliable and effective means to allocate resources, resulting in substantial cost savings."

"With some Alvey palletizers still in use after 50 years of service, we know that businesses have learned to depend on this brand and the reliability and performance associated with it," said Christopher C. Cole, CEO and co-founder of Intelligrated. "We are pleased with the customer excitement already generated by our move to invest in the Alvey brand, and Intelligrated will continue to provide 24x7 service and support to FKI Logistex and Alvey customers."

At PACK EXPO Las Vegas, Intelligrated will showcase the Alvey 950 series hybrid in-line palletizer, which features a robotic case divider/turner. This robotic case divider/turner provides gentler manipulation of product, making the Alvey 950 ideal for handling products that have minimal secondary packaging due to manufacturer's sustainability goals. The Alvey 950 uses one or more robotic arms for pattern forming, making it ideal for handling small finished case sizes, multiple product formats, and complex patterns. Designed with high-speed and flexibility in mind, programming from the HMI (Human Machine Interface) allows for fast and easy product reconfiguration and quick line changeover for packaging rates in excess of 100 cases per minute. Flexibility is further enhanced with the choice of robotic arm manufacturer and operating software.
