Allied Electronics Launches Virtual Catalog
Fort Worth, Texas - Allied Electronics, a subsidiary of Electrocomponents plc (LSE: ECM), has launched a virtual catalog on its web site. The virtual catalog mirrors the 2007 Allied catalog.
"Allied's new virtual catalog is just another interactive way for customers to quickly and easily find the electronic and electromechanical products they need," said Lee Davidson, president of Allied. "We want to provide customers with every available format to view and search our catalog."
The Allied virtual catalog was designed to engage online customers that prefer to search for products using the photography-rich print catalog, but may not have it readily available. Online customers can navigate the virtual catalog using their mouse to "flip" through virtual pages and can quickly turn to a specific product section or page number with one click. The virtual catalog also allows visitors to bookmark pages, zoom in on a virtual catalog page and link directly to an online product page to purchase a product.
