Allan Lee Joins SPE as IT Operations Manager



BETHEL, CT, U.S.A. – The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) has appointed Allen Lee to the position of operations manager for information technology.



Mr. Lee will manage all applications and integrations for SPE websites, apps, association management systems, email marketing automation, and external communication platforms. In addition he will be in charge of the internal network, software, and cloud-based services for SPE’s global staff.



“Allen brings to SPE not only two decades of experience in IT and project management but also a considerable background in work for an association,” said Russell C. Broome, SPE managing director. “He will play a key role in SPE’s current mission of expanding our products and services on various platforms for our growing global community.”



Mr. Lee comes to SPE from the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, where he was the senior director of technology and business solutions for seven years. Previously he spent ten years with the marketing agency Arnold Worldwide as director of IT, managing their offices in Washington, DC, Richmond, VA, and Baltimore, MD. He began his career in IT by working on the development of video conference systems for GTE Corporation.



Allan Lee holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from George Washington University.
