ALAN Names Director of Operations

Charitable Contribution Strengthens Organization's Disaster Relief Efforts

Minneapolis, June 22, 2010 - The American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) today announced that the organization has named a director of operations to strengthen its efforts to support humanitarian relief. Saddle Creek Corporation, a nationwide third-party logistics provider, will donate the time and talent of one of its top IT experts, Kathy Fulton, to serve in this capacity for ALAN on a full-time basis for an entire year.

ALAN is a non-profit organization focused on engaging the supply chain community to assist in humanitarian relief efforts. In times of crisis, the organization's web portal, www.ALANaid.org, provides a central point of contact and streamlines the process for distributing donations.

Beginning in July, Fulton, Saddle Creek's senior manager of technical services, will serve a one-year term as director of operations for ALAN. She will be charged with strengthening ALAN's technology platform, refining many aspects of ALAN operations and helping to build awareness of the organization. Fulton has worked with ALAN on a volunteer basis since the organization's inception and was instrumental in the deployment of the organization's web portal.

"All of us at ALAN are absolutely thrilled to have Kathy on board in this new, full-time capacity," said Jock Menzies, ALAN president. "Her wealth of knowledge and passion for ALAN will play a critical role in taking our organization to the next level and helping our humanitarian relief efforts to have an even greater impact. This is a significant financial commitment, and we're very grateful to Saddle Creek for this valuable resource."

"ALAN is offering a much-needed service for our industry - bringing together organizations throughout the supply chain for the common good," said Cliff Otto, Saddle Creek president and ALAN officer. "We're pleased to share Kathy's expertise with ALAN as an investment in the future of this worthwhile enterprise. Our corporate culture places significant emphasis on giving back to the community, so this is a natural fit for Saddle Creek."
