AIS Releases Hazardous Areas Thin Client Industrial PCs and Fanless Embedded Computers with IECEx, ATEX and UL Certifications for Digital Oil Field Applications for Remote Use over the Internet

AIS “ThinManager-Ready” Industrial PCs (IPCs), Touch Panel and DIN-Rail IPCs with ACP-enabled BIOS for Volatile and Harsh Environments in Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Manufacturing

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – American Industrial Systems, Inc. (AIS) the leader of open architecture, Embedded HMIs, Touch Panel Computers, Industrial PCs (IPCs), Industrial Box PCs, and Industrial Thin Clients, has developed two new ThinManager-Ready®, Rugged Thin Clients, DIN Rail PCs and fully integrated Industrial Touch Panels with ACP-enable BIOS. AIS designed these two, different rugged and industrial Thin Clients in standard, DIN Rail IPC and Industrial Touch Terminal configurations to meet the widest range of standards and certifications to insure they will meet all the necessary mandatory safety and operational requirements for demanding, volatile and harsh environments and hazardous area applications commonly found within Oil, Gas and Petrochemical industries.

AIS’s ThinManager-Ready Thin Clients, DIN Rail PCs and Industrial Touch Panels are Designed Specifically for Rugged and Safe Use in Hazardous Areas Locations

Available in a 15” diagonal, active matrix TFT LCD, AIS’s ThinManager-Ready Touch Panel PCs and touch screen terminals offer ACP enabled BIOS. AIS’s ACP Enabled Thin Clients connect to the terminal server using TCP/IP. These Thin Clients from AIS are also based upon their popular open architecture automation, control, monitoring systems design. They feature advanced performance, features and functions for applications ranging from the offices to remote industrial plants and facilities.

In some industries, the manufacture, processing, transport or storage of combustible materials results in the creation or release of gases, vapors or mist into the environment. Particularly in areas such as chemical and petrochemical industries, the transport of crude oil and natural gas; this is also a problem in mining, milling and other industries and can result in serious injury to personnel and damage to equipment. To guarantee the highest possible level of safety and explosion protection in hazardous areas, laws, regulations and standards have been formed by legislatures by various countries. In accordance with these laws, regulations and standards, AIS’s ThinManager-Ready Thin Client Industrial Touch Panels, Embedded Computers and DIN-Rail PCs are designed to the meet the most challenging safety and operational requirements.

AIS’s Industrial Thin Client PCs, Fanless Embedded Computers and DIN-Rail IPCs Meet Key Safety Standards, Regulations and Laws

AIS’s new ThinManager-Ready Industrial Thin Clients, Rugged DIN-Rail PCs and 15” Touch Screen Terminals families are tested and certified to meet: NEC/CEC Class Division, ATEX Directive 94/9EC, and IECEx Zone standards for increased safety with industrial PCs used in Division 2 and Zone 2 control, measuring, testing, data collection and communication applications. AIS also offers UL Class 1 Division 2 (C1D2 or Class 1 Div 2), Groups A, B, C, D, T4A, ATEX 94/9/EC Zone 2 Category 3, and IECEx Zone 2, Ex “nA”, T4 certifications on its Hazardous Areas Industrial DIN Rail PCs and Hazardous locations (Hazlocs) embedded computers and Hazardous Areas Industrial Panel PCs (Hazlocs) and embedded panel computers. These thin client models are primarily designed for the challenging, volatile and harsh environments in Oil, Gas and Petrochemical plants and facilities.

ATEX Certified Ex Approved ThinManager-Ready® Rugged, Thin Client Industrial PCs and Touch Screens for the Petroleum Industry and its Segments

AIS safety hazards Zone 2 Class 1 Division 2 Touch Screen Panel IPCs and DIN-Rail IPCs are primarily designed and certified for use remote monitoring control panel applications. They provide accurate, economical, intuitive and user-friendly systems control, operation and monitoring. The petroleum industry includes the global processes of exploration, extraction, refining, transporting (often by oil tankers and pipelines), and marketing petroleum products. The largest volume products of the industry are fuel oil and gasoline (petrol). Petroleum (oil) is also the raw material for many chemical products, including pharmaceuticals, solvents, fertilizers, pesticides, and plastics. The industry is divided into three major components: upstream, midstream and downstream. Each of these segments have environments that present especially challenging, potentially dangerous and/or harsh conditions. AIS ThinManager Ready Industrial Thin Clients are rugged and are designed specifically for Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical manufacturing industries; Oilfield Equipment Services, Drilling Rig Systems, Oil Refineries, and Pipeline Transport.

AIS ThinManager-Ready Industrial Thin Clients Family Offer High System Reliability Maintenance-Free Operation for Maximum Uptime and Performance

High build quality and construction and components are a hallmark of AIS’s open architecture automation, control and monitoring systems designs and are now available in their new line of industrial thin clients. Thanks to this rugged, high quality design, users can enjoy maintenance-free operation and high system reliability which helps deliver greater performance, efficiency and R.O.I.
