Airfloat, LLC, is Pleased to Announce the Addition of Mr. David Weder as Vice President of Engineering


Airfloat, LLC, is pleased to announce the addition of Mr. David Weder as Vice president of Engineering effective March 15, 2010.

Mr. Weder has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Penn State University and has been employed with several companies in design engineering roles while most recently with GSI Grain Systems in Assumption, IL. At GSI, Mr. Weder was the team leader in charge of implementing a company-wide configurations software platform to streamline engineering services. In addition to machine design, AutoCad, Solidworks, and Configuration Software, Mr. Weder has experience in automation, PLC programming, project management, and FEA work. As Vice President of Engineering, Mr. Weder will be reporting directly to Airfloat CEO, Mr. Jason Stoecker. Mr. Weder will have responsibility for managing all engineering personnel, Information Technology & Communications, and Research & Development. Mr. will serve as a member of the management oversight team of Airfloat's newest operating division, AF Automation. Mr. Ron Born will report to Mr. Weder as a Senior Design Engineer and key member of Mr. Weder's team. Mr. Born served for many years as the engineering manager at Airfloat and as a Senior Designer Engineer Ron will continue to be a key contributor to our future success. Airfloat is also pleased to name Mr. Scott Vandenbergh as Vice President of Manufacturing. Scott while presently serving as the plant manager at Airfloat, as V.P. of Manufacturing will assume responsibilities for Quality, Safety, and Shipping & Receiving in addition to plant operations. Mr. Vandenbergh has a General Engineering Degree from University of Illinois, Masters in Ergonomics from University of Michigan, and his P.E. designation in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Vandenbergh also has earned a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Prior to Airfloat, Mr. Vandenbergh had a successful career at both Ford Motor Company and General Motors. Mr. Vandenbergh will report directly to the Airfloat CEO, Mr. Jason Stoecker.

AF Automation is the newest operating division of Airfloat that is preparing to launch to the public markets. Airfloat has a long history of designing, building and implementing PLC programming, panel building, and controls work that is routinely deployed in the development of Airfloat products. In addition to providing for Airfloat's product needs, AF Automation will be providing direct services to regional OEMS's for their outsources automation needs. Airfloat is presently renovating to create a dedicated panel building shop at our current location at 2230 Brush College Road in Decatur, Illinois.
