AIMCAL Award
Pure-Stat Engineered Technologies is proud to announce its participation, manufacturing, in the production and application of an award winning technology:
Intercept’s RIBS Ultra Film. The award, AIMCAL (Association of International Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators) award for Best Industrial Technical Product of the Year, went to the converter of the film, Technical Coating International.
The RIBS material (48-mil PET with 3.7 optical aluminum/92-gauge PET with 3.7 optical aluminum/co-extrusion of PE/conductive PE/Corrosion Intercept) delivers 15 year storage without the need to repackage over that period while minimizing vapor transmission rate and, because of the proprietary nature of the Corrosion Intercept material, combats forged parts working their way into the supply stream.
These two sided pouches are used in Germany for automotive critical spare storage. The film delivers results that stand up to German automotive manufacture standards that demand the need for 15 year storage of spare parts without the need to repackage them, saving our customers time and money.
Judges noted that, "It (RIBS material) shows what a creative combination of metalizing and laminating can achieve." We are proud of our capabilities, in this case extrusion and lamination, of supplying top quality products and innovation to our customers, and receiving the award is an added bonus.
