Agilent Technologies' VESA-Qualified DisplayPort Solution Chosen by Allion Test Labs

Agilent's Solution Helped Allion Become the First Worldwide VESA-Authorized Test Center for DisplayPort

SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 8, 2008 - Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that Allion Test Labs has chosen the Agilent DSO90000A Series high-performance oscilloscope as its primary DisplayPort source test solution. In February 2008, the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) qualified Agilent as the only physical layer source compliance test vendor.

"We are confident that the Agilent solution will give us an advantage in total processing time for DisplayPort sources," said James Ou, technical director from Allion. "Not only did the tests go faster, but the solution is ideally designed for throughput. We look forward to an ongoing collaboration with Agilent to continue pushing forward on increasing test value."

"We are really pleased to have been qualified by VESA and selected by Allion," said Brian Fetz, DisplayPort program manager of Agilent's Digital Test Division. "We are excited about the future of the DisplayPort interface and will continue to enable our customers in developing products for it."

During the February qualification event, Agilent's solution went through a rigorous testing process where the measurement results were evaluated in addition to the ease of use of the compliance software, the setup requirements and test execution speed. The test solution included a DSA90000 Infiniium Series oscilloscope, the U7232A DisplayPort compliance test software, W2641A DisplayPort test fixtures, 1169A probe amplifiers and N5380A differential SMA probe heads.
