Agilent Technologies Opens PicoCafe, a Unique Online Forum for Atomic Force Microscope Users

SANTA CLARA, Calif.РAgilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced the launch of its online Pico Caf̩, an interactive web community created exclusively for atomic force microscope users. Agilent AFM users from around the world are invited to visit the new PicoCaf̩ at www.agilent.com/find/picocafe to share original script programming and instrumentation-related insights with one another.

"The PicoCafé has been constructed to serve as a convenient and comfortable online gathering place for researchers who are seeking to optimize the utility of their own Agilent AFM systems, as well as for those who would like to assist their colleagues' efforts to do so," said Jeff Jones, general manager for Agilent's nano-instrumentation facility in Chandler, Ariz. "The new site will provide an invaluable repository of innovative tools and highly practical knowledge for AFM users working in a broad range of scientific and industrial fields."

Designed to facilitate the free exchange of ideas among Agilent AFM users, the PicoCafé allows all registered participants to post and access Agilent PicoScript instrument automation scripts, PicoImage mini-docs for data processing, PicoView plug-ins, and system-specific AFM information. This unique online hub will enable community members to disseminate and discover new means of streamlining functionality, controlling experiments, and acquiring and processing data, all while extending the AFM body of knowledge.
