Agilent Technologies Collaborating with Nallatech on High-Speed Signal and Monitoring Systems

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced it is collaborating with Nallatech, a subsidiary of Interconnect Systems Inc, a leading provider of accelerated computing solutions, to develop high-speed signal acquisition and network monitoring systems that address the high-throughput processing and signal diversity requirements of LTE/SAE core and access optical networks.

Nallatech is developing innovative solutions for high-speed PCIe-based FPGA signal acquisition and signal processing cards. Agilent is a leading provider of mobile network monitoring and measuring equipment, specializing in complex protocol and discovery analysis independent of network technology or equipment.

Together these solutions can enable applications as diverse as locating personnel for safety applications-such as e911-to conducting real-time or forensic analysis that detects malicious activity within a critical infrastructure.

"By integrating best-in-class network signal capture components with Agilent's extensive capabilities in signal processing and protocol analysis, we aim to bring to market one of the most flexible network monitoring platforms capable of running at line speeds up to 40Gb/s and 100Gb/s," said Tom Burrell, vice president and general manager of Agilent's Signal Networks Division. "Our customers expect us to be ahead of the technology curve solving their problems today, and our work with Nallatech helps us deliver on that commitment."

The combined work, which has already developed 10GbE OTN and Ethernet solutions, will focus on supporting evolving network transport technologies at higher data rates, including 40G and 100G.
