AGC Opens Technical Center in Shanghai City, China for Fluorinated Functional Chemicals

EXTON, Pa.,  – AGC Chemicals Americas Inc. (AGCCA) is pleased to announce the expansion of global technical service functions with the establishment of a technical center for fluorinated functional chemicals in Shanghai City, China. This investment will enhance AGCCA capabilities to locally support its global customers with operations based in China.

The Shanghai City tech center opened on March 10 in response to increased demand for fluorinated functional chemicals over the last several years. These chemicals impart excellent characteristics such as heat and chemical resistance, ultra-weatherability and long service life to coatings, architectural films and components used in textiles, automobiles, electronics, buildings, and other industries.

”With the addition of a local technical service center in China this will provide prompt application and customer support for our Fluon®, LUMIFLONTM, AFLAS® and AsahiGuardTM E-Series brands. We are strengthening our global technical service capabilities to meet regional demand by establishing this facility in Shanghai.”, according to Bill Fiedler, Senior Manager, Business Development and Planning.
