Affordable USB Temperature Monitoring and Alarming

CAS DataLoggers Helps Protect Your Medical Products

CHESTERLAND OH — In late September of this year CAS DataLoggers supplied the Maryland Department of Health with over a dozen Lascar Thermocouple Temperature Data Loggers to monitor and alarm medical fridges storing children's vaccines. For well under a hundred dollars, this USB data logger provides an affordable and easy to use solution for stand-alone data recording. The built-in USB interface makes connection to a PC for setup and downloading data a snap, and each logger also includes FREE Windows control software. We can offer the same to your facility—give us a call at (800) 956-4437.

Thermocouple Data Logger with USB Interface

Our Lascar temperature data logger measures and stores up to 32,510 temperature readings from either a J, K or T-type thermocouple. The probe supplied with each thermocouple datalogger is a K-type thermocouple designed to measure temperatures from 0 to 400ºC (32 to 752ºF). A standard mini thermocouple connector is provided for compatibility with a wide range of thermocouples. Users attach the probe using the thermocouple socket at the base of the unit. For extended recording each data logger is also supplied with a replaceable internal lithium battery which will last for approximately 6 months.

It's easy for users to set up the thermocouple type, logging rate, start-time, logging mode, and download the stored data by plugging the data logger into a PC's USB port and running the purpose-designed software under Windows 2000, XP or Vista. Users can then graph, print and export their data to their preferred applications.

Status and Alarm LEDs:

The thermocouple datalogger features two LEDs that indicate the logging, battery and alarm status:

• The first LED flashes red to indicate that the data logger is in an alarm condition. It will flash whenever the logged temperature has exceeded a Low or High alarm level.

• The second LED flashes green to indicate that the datalogger is NOT currently in an alarm condition.

Free Windows Control Software

Lascar's EasyLog USB control software is supplied free of charge with each data logger. Easy to install and use, the control software runs under Windows 2000, XP (Home and Professional Editions) & Vista (32-bit). The software is used to set up the data logger as well as download, graph and export data to Excel. The software allows the following parameters to be configured: logger name, choice of Celcius or Fahrenheit, logging rate, high and low alarm limits, start date and start time. The latest version of the control software is available as a free download on our Downloads page.

These data loggers are also available in a convenient LCD Thermocouple model showing your product's current temperature.
