Aeroflex Announces the Acquisition of Airflyte Electronics


Plainview, NY, July 15, 2009 - Aeroflex, Incorporated, today announced that is has acquired substantially all of the assets of Airflyte Electronics, a company based in Naples, Florida. Airflyte will be known as Aeroflex Airflyte and report directly to the Aeroflex Motion Control division headquartered in Hauppauge, New York.

A leading manufacturer of precision slip ring assemblies for 56 years, Airflyte slip rings have been built in their ISO 9001 certified facility in configurations ranging from ¼" diameter capsules for eddy current test probes, to diameters as large as ten feet for military vehicle turret drive systems requiring hundreds of amps. From simple grounding ring circuits, to combination units for fire control test systems
containing hundreds of complex rings carrying high speed digital signals and power for motor drives, Aeroflex Airflyte's products are ideal for use in the benign environments of the laboratory to the harsh environments of missile and military applications.
