Aeroflex and Hytera Announce a Joint Relationship for Automated Test and Alignment of Hytera DMR Series Radios

Press release date: March 26, 2014

LAS VEGAS — International Wireless Communications Expo 2014 — Aeroflex Incorporated, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aeroflex Holding Corp. (NYSE:ARX), Aeroflex announced an agreement with Hytera, Inc. to provide automated test and alignment capabilities for Hytera DMR Series Radios on the Aeroflex 3920B Digital Radio Test Set. Initial test capabilities will be focused on the following Hytera DMR portable radios: PD702, PD782, PD792, PD882, HD702, HD782, HD795, SD982, X1e, and X1p. The program will be later expanded to provide test and alignment of Hytera DMR mobiles.

With a proven track record for speed and accuracy, this application uses the precision instrumentation within the 3920B to quickly perform automated test and alignments to manufacturer specifications. Alignments can now be performed in much less time, minimizing service and support costs for the end users and dealers. Additionally, an exclusive test cable correction feature ensures that power measurements within the alignment process are always correct.

"Aeroflex is eager to support automated test and alignment capabilities for Hytera DMR Series," said Mike Fortna, Manager, Applications Development and Product Training for Aeroflex Wichita. "Since the 3920B provides fully automated tests and alignment processes, Hytera dealers and end users will be able perform fast, repeatable and very accurate test and alignments functions with minimal technical interaction."

"We are happy to be teaming together with an industry-leading company like Aeroflex," said Nicholas Bacigalupi, Director of Marketing for Hytera America. "We look forward to continuing to support this partnership as our portfolio grows and to provide efficient tools for both our dealer channel and end-users to test, analyze, and align our products."

Delivery for the Hytera DMR Auto-Test II option is expected in June 2014 and can be ordered as Option 628 on the 3920B. The Aeroflex 3920B has a delivery time of 3-5 weeks.
