Lexington, MA -- The Association of Energy Engineers -- New England Chapter will hold its second annual Emerging Technologies Night on April 7, 2010 from 5:30 - 8:30 pm at the Doubletree Guest Suites Hotel in Waltham. Nine industry professionals will present their diverse range of technologies that will also be on display.

The technologies presented at the meeting are all well beyond the prototype stage, and have been identified by AEE as among the most promising emerging technologies. They are already commercially available and have considerable proven field use, yet are not well known or used. Some of the technologies being presented include advances in features, cost, or services.

We deliberately select technologies that are far beyond the planning stage, yet whose specific features and benefits are not clearly understood by energy engineers and end-users," stated Gregg Snyder, one of the meeting organizers and energy engineer at BCM Controls Corporation. According to Dan Wheatley, energy engineer and meeting organizer, These continually improving 'emerging technologies are already producing a real impact on energy consumption. The emergence or wider use of these and other such technologies would help achieve our nations energy goals -- energy savings, energy independence, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, and job creation."

The presenters and exhibitors were selected from technologies that were featured at the national AEE World Energy Conference recently held in Washington, DC, including heat pumps, fan/motor design, destratification, compressors, lighting control, modeling software, and advanced control devices.

The cost of the meeting is $40 and includes dinner. Register online at aeenewengland.org (http://www.wbjournal.com/). For more information contact Gregg Snyder at 781-897-5124 or snyderg(at)bcmcontrols(dot)com or Dan Wheatley 781-729-3760 or dan_wheatley(at)msn(dot)com.
