2014 World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology

WASHINGTON -- Advanced biofuel producers will discuss the industry’s progress toward commercial reality during breakout sessions at the World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology, the Biotechnology Industry Organization announced today. The World Congress will be held May 12-15, 2014, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

“Advanced biofuels companies are reaching a key stage of commercialization this year, with three commercial scale pioneer plants scheduled to come online,” said Brent Erickson, executive vice president of BIO’s Industrial & Environmental Section. “BIO’s World Congress will provide a status report on additional advanced biofuel technologies – such as aviation biofuels and drop-in hydrocarbons – that are being commercialized. ”
