Automation Event to Feature the Adept Networking Pavilion as Part of Conference's Networking Focus

LIVERMORE, Calif.- March 4, 2007, Adept Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADEP), the leading provider of intelligent vision-guided robotics and global robotics services, today announced its Adept Global Conference 2008 event being held April 2-4 will feature speakers from Evergreen Solar, Great Lakes Cheese, Medical Design Magazine, Pepperidge Farm, Packaging Machinery Manufacturer's Institute (PMMI) and Robotics Industries Association (RIA). The speakers at the conference include Peter Kane, Evergreen Solar's senior member of technical staff; Stewart Armstrong, Great Lakes Cheese's packaging engineering manager; Paul Dvorak, Medical Design Magazine's chief editor; Harry Pettit, Pepperidge Farm's manager of systems engineering; Ben Miyares, PMMI's vice president industry relations and Jeff Burnstein, RIA's executive vice president. Additionally, the company announced the global automation conference to be held at its corporate headquarters in Livermore, CA will feature the Adept Networking Pavilion as part of the conference's networking focus. The pavilion, taking place in conjunction with the conference, will showcase information from leading industry solution providers, associations and media.

Peter Kane, Evergreen Solar's senior member of technical staff, has 30 years of automation experience with 12 years at Evergreen Solar a global technology leader and innovator in the solar industry and 18 years with Polaroid.

Stewart Armstrong, Great Lakes Cheese's packaging engineering manager, has over 35 years of experience in food packaging systems & is responsible for cheese packaging materials, the design of new packaging production systems and improvements to existing production lines for all of Great Lakes Cheese's manufacturing plants.

Paul Dvorak, Medical Design Magazine's chief editor, started at Penton Media on the Machine Design staff as the mechanical drives editor and later worked as its CAD/CAM editor. He began working on Medical Design in 2002 as managing editor before being promoted to chief editor in 2005.

Harry Pettit, Pepperidge Farm's manager of systems engineering, has worked in the food industry for over 20 years. In his current role with Pepperidge Farm, he is responsible for plant floor network and control system development and standardization, plant floor electrical systems, electrical and machine safety, and facility infrastructure engineering.

Ben Miyares, PMMI's vice president industry relations, has worked in the packaging business since 1963 as a writer, analyst, packaging consultant, conference organizer, commentator and frequent speaker on packaging topics at numerous international conferences, association meetings, corporate and consumer programs.

Jeff Burnstein, RIA's executive vice president, has been with the RIA since 1983, serving in a variety of marketing and PR positions until being named executive vice president in 2007. Burnstein also heads the Automation Technologies Council, the umbrella trade association for RIA, the Automated Imaging Association, and the Motion Control Association.
