Adams Magnetic Products Names Craig as Sales Manager


(Elmhurst, Illinois) - Adams Magnetic Products Co. has named Craig Myers as its sales manager overseeing the national sales and customer service team responsible for flexible magnets and magnet product assemblies.

Myers began his career with Dowling Magnets in Sonoma, Calif. selling its award-winning education and toy line, and industrial tools. During the height of California's dot.com boom, he joined Hewlett-Packard as a production supervisor. When Agilent Technologies split off from Hewlett-Packard, Myers was retained to help roll out new products at a record-breaking pace achieving nearly 80% of the company's total revenue goals. Armed with his new product experience and business insights, Myers returned to Dowling, now a division of Adams Magnetic Products. In 2004 he transferred to the flexible magnets and magnetic assemblies division.

Emphasizing product innovation and personalized customer service, Myers and his colleagues expect to surpass projected 2006 sales targets by 17%, the highest grossing year in the company's 56-year history. Working closely with the staff, division general manager Kerry Buntrock, and the executive managers and marketing professionals, Myers predicts continuous growth and success for the foreseeable future.

We have the in-house expertise to help enhance each customer's design and customize our products to ensure the durability, functionality, mobility and creativity they require," says Myers. To better serve all markets and applications, Myers also is assisting in the development of customer relationship management and training tools, as well as customer-oriented marketing materials, promotional samples, educational presentations and more. In addition to representing the company at industry conferences and exhibitions, Myers notes that he and his associates "enjoy meeting with customers to learn about their challenges and to show them what's possible with magnets. Sometimes, the best solution is invisible; you'd never know our product is there."

Myers is highly visible to customers, co-workers and family. He, his wife and their two children are building a home in Wellington, Nev., outside of Reno. Applying his agricultural business degree from California Polytechnic State University, he and his family also raise and show quarter horses. Along with teaching his two-year-old daughter to ride and rope, Myers also coaches his son's soccer and wrestling teams.
