Acu-Cast Technologies Doubles its 3D Systems' Pro Parts Manufacturing Capacity

Tennessee-based Preferred Service Provider purchases second Viper(TM) Pro SLA® System from 3D Systems

Rock Hill, South Carolina, Jan. 9, 2008 - 3D Systems Corporation (NASDAQ: TDSC), a leading provider of 3-D Modeling, Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing solutions, announced today that Acu-Cast Technologies, LLC, a leading Preferred Service Provider (PSP), has purchased a second Viper(TM) Pro SLA® System from 3D Systems, doubling its Pro Parts manufacturing capabilities for its customers.

Acu-Cast installed its first Viper(TM) Pro SLA® System in October 2007 and experienced an immediate and significant growth in its business and positive marketplace response from its first Pro Parts capable system. With faster speed and higher definition, the Viper(TM) Pro SLA® System manufactures parts with exceptional feature details, accuracy, surface finish and maximum part size that are ordinarily associated only with CNC machining.

Responding to increased demand for Pro Parts, Acu-Cast decided to double its Pro Parts manufacturing capacity with the purchase of a second 3D Systems' Viper(TM) Pro SLA® System. Last year, it also purchased two high-speed Sinterstation® HiQ(TM) SLS® Systems to keep up with high customer demand for its authorized 3D Systems solutions.

"Responding to the significant demand for Pro Parts, we felt the need for additional capacity to our rapidly growing Stereolithography department," said Gary D. Mitchell, owner of Acu-Cast Technologies. "We are in business to give our customers what they ask for, and since we installed our first Viper(TM) Pro System we just couldn't keep up with demand for larger parts with good detail, quickly. With a second Viper(TM) Pro SLA® System in-house, we are positioning ourselves to better fulfill our customers' needs. We use the latest 3D Systems Accura® Materials to give our customers fast, precision prototyping as part of our mission to become an extension of our customers' design, tool room and manufacturing departments."

"It's a real privilege to work with successful entrepreneurial partners like Gary Mitchell," said Abe Reichental, 3D Systems' president and chief executive officer. "Once again, Gary has demonstrated the value of our authorized channel to bring the latest most advanced precision parts and pattern manufacturing capabilities to the marketplace. As more and more end-users recognize the virtues of our Pro Parts and ask for them by name, the commitment of authorized parts manufacturing channel partners like Acu-Cast to supply this growing demand, is critical to our success in serving the expanding parts and pattern market."
