Absolute Software Announces Support for Microsoft Vista Operating System


Computrace computer theft recovery software ready for new operating system

VANCOUVER, Nov. 30-- Absolut® Software Corporation ("Absolute") (TSX: ABT), the leading provider of patented, firmware-based, Computer Theft Recovery, Data Protection and Secure Asset Tracking(TM) solutions, announced today that its participation in Microsoft's Vista Ascend program has enabled Absolute to release Windows Vista(TM) updates to the market in parallel with Vista's commercial launch. All Computrace® corporate software products are now Microsoft® Windows Vista-ready.

Computrace is compatible with all editions of Vista, from Home Basic to Enterprise Edition, as well as both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems. Computrace will continue to support Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Windows server and Mac OSX clients.
