Abrisa Technologies Named Preferred Processor and Distributor of SCHOTT Xensation(TM) Cover Glass
Abrisa Technologies is pleased to announce that it has been named as the preferred processor and distributor of SCHOTT Xensation(TM) Cover glass for Cover & Touch applications for North America. According to Jim Veler, President and CEO of Abrisa Technologies, "Adding SCHOTT Xensation(TM) Cover glass for Cover & Touch applications to our existing portfolio of High Ion Exchange (HIE) glass product offerings, allows us to provide our customers with a multitude of optical solutions."

SCHOTT Xensation(TM) Cover glass is an ultra-strong alumino-silicate glass having outstanding resistance to breakage and scratches. It is the hardest glass currently available for capacitive touch applications such as smartphones and tablet PCs, providing tougher, sleeker and more resilient devices.
Due to its impressively high compression stress (CS) of, more than 900 MPa, it offers a significantly higher bending strength and higher ball drop strength test resistance than comparable materials currently available on the market. Furthermore, SCHOTT Xensation(TM) Cover glass has delivered stable values under low temperatures during the chemical curing process with respect to compressive stress on the surface and depth of ion exchange.
SCHOTT Xensation(TM) Cover glass - Distribution
Susan Hirst, General Manager for Abrisa Technologies' Santa Paula manufacturing facility, states "Abrisa Technologies will not only distribute SCHOTT Xensation(TM) Cover glass, we will chemically treat, cut, edge, polish, and provide additional processing as required by our customers in order to fully service their HIE glass requirements."
Susan goes on to add, "Some of the additional customized fabrication value-added solutions from Abrisa Technologies that can be performed on SCHOTT Xensation(TM) Cover glass may include the application of thin film coatings, various edge treatments, custom cutting and drilling, screen printing, Bus Bars and more."
Abrisa Technologies will offer SCHOTT Xensation(TM) Cover glass in sheet sizes of:
o 1150 x 950 mm
o 475 x 575 mm
Thickness range availability is 0.5mm through 3.0 mm. Custom sizes and thickness may be available on request.
