ABB to Showcase Smart Grid Center and New Products at IEEE Conference


ABB participating in multiple poster sessions, technical presentations

Chicago, IL, April 21, 2008 - ABB, the leading power and automation technology company, will again have a major presence at the upcoming bi-annual IEEE PES T&D Conference and Exhibition at McCormick Place in Chicago on April 21-24, 2008.

ABB announced it will feature a new "Smart Grid Center" at the 4,000-square-foot ABB booth - #1506, Section 1, close to the front of the Exposition Hall. The Smart Grid Center is a high-tech, interactive demo center showcasing how ABB's industry-leading products and technology add "smart" capabilities to the power grid that can improve reliability and energy efficiency while significantly enhancing utility operations.

The Smart Grid Center will feature new virtual graphics and working demos that show how both today's software and hardware programs can work together to enhance utility substation automation, distribution automation and network management.
