Aaron Mattison Joins IDEAL as Product Manager
SYCAMORE, IL, October 31, 2007 - IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. a worldwide leader in tools and supplies for professional electricians, today announced the appointment of Aaron Mattison as the company's Product Manager for cutting tools. Mattison is a veteran of hardware sales, marketing and management on both the manufacturing and retail sides with brands ranging from Newell Rubbermaid to Indian Motorcycle, Ashland Hardware and Pella.
In his new position, Mattison is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales planning for IDEAL's professional-grade saws and drill bits used by electricians, maintenance crews, and other contractors.
"It's one thing to build a good cutting tool; it's another to know how to sell it. Aaron has the optimal mix of credentials to bring our saws, bits and blades to market successfully," said Bruce Hartranft, Business Unit Manager, IDEAL. "Aaron will play a key role in establishing IDEAL as a market leader in cutting tools."
Mattison comes to IDEAL from Newell Rubbermaid where he served as Product Manager for Ashland Hardware Systems casement windows. Prior to that, he was Technology Leader for Anchor Harvey Components, and Manager of Manufacturing Engineering for National Forge Company.
Mattison earned an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, along with a B.S. in Physics at Westminster College.
