Air & Waste Management Association to Hold 103rd Annual Conference & Exhibition in Calgary, Alberta, Canada



Pittsburgh, PA - The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) will hold its 103rd Annual Conference & Exhibition (ACE), June 22-25, 2010, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

"Located in the heart of Canada's energy sector, Calgary provides the perfect location for ACE 2010 which is built around the theme 'Energy and Environment,'" said Mike Kelly, A&WMA Executive Director. "With a technical program that covers a vast variety of topics, attendees from all fields will gain applicable knowledge and make valuable connections with colleagues from around the world."

ACE 2010 will feature a technical program with over 500 speakers and new for 2010, the Mega Poster Session where over 100 posters will be presented, hundreds of exhibitors displaying the latest products and services, social tours and networking events, professional development courses taught by leading instructors, and a student program.

The Keynote Program's plenary sessions will address the priorities and challenges to energy policy in the 21st century, and the environmental implications; and the changes that need to occur to create a sustainable energy system for North America within the next 20 years. Invited speakers are high-level members of government and industry and include Lisa Jackson, Administrator, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency; Ed Stelmach, Premier of Alberta; and Jim Prentice, Minister of the Environment, Environment Canada.

The conference will also feature the 40th annual Critical Review, titled "Multipollutant Air Quality Management: Prospects for the Future." The review will be presented by G.M. Hidy, Principal, Envair/Aerochem and W.T. Pennell, Partner, Columbia Research and Education Associates.
