Company to Open Plant in South America and Showcase Resealable Packaging Solutions
Manteno, IL - Zip-Pak, a global leader in resealable solutions and equipment, will announce details about its new South American manufacturing facility at Fispal Tecnologia, June 12-15 at the Anhembi Pavillion in São Paulo, Brazil. The new plant's location will reduce lead times and greatly expand technical and consulting services to Zip-Pak's customers in Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
"Zip-Pak has been solving packaging challenges for brand owners around the world. Our expansion in South America will enable us to quickly apply that expertise gained globally to local challenges faced by brands and retailers in emerging geographies," said Perry Malik, Business Manager for Latin America at Zip-Pak.
In addition to shortening lead times, the new manufacturing facility will also enable Zip-Pak to provide better machinery service to its customers by having field technical representatives on the ground in the region. Local field technicians can frequently visit customers' plants to ensure smooth operations and alleviate any unforeseen maintenance issues. Zip-Pak's representatives will also provide added value to potential customers by offering consultation on ways brands can meet consumer demands through resealable packaging.
Zip-Pak will also showcase a retrofit zipper applicator in its booth at Fispal. Retrofit technology enables brand owners and retailers to incorporate resealable functionality into existing production lines without significantly slowing the operation, requiring additional skills, or significant capital investments. The company's engineering team can develop custom retrofit packaging systems that ease the transition to consumer-preferred resealable flexible formats.
Zip-Pak will also highlight innovative solutions, including its Press-to-Close(TM) line of zippers and Zipbox® resealable carton, at the show.
