Zenverge Transcoding ICs and PacketVideo TwonkyServer software provide the world's most robust DLNA server.

CUPERTINO, Calif.- Zenverge, a leading developer of advanced digital media ICs and PacketVideo Corporation, a leading provider of interactive media solutions and apps announced today that they will be strategically partnering to bring Zenverge's transcoding technology and PacketVideos TwonkyServer to provide a one stop media streaming solution. This new media streaming with the first hardware transcoding solution will be demonstrated at the Zenverge and Twonky demo suites during CES 2012.

TwonkyServer from PacketVideo makes finding media for playing back on connected home and mobile devices as simple as a drag and drop. By adopting DLNA and other networking and streaming platforms, Twonky Service provides compatibility with more devices and file formats than any other media server in the market today, making the sharing of photos, videos and music a seamless experience for users of any experience level.

Zenverge's ICs use advanced media processing capabilities with its powerful TransALL(TM) Transcode engine to TransFormat, TransRate, TransScale, TransCopy, TransZip, TransCrypt, TransQoS and TransWrap content in a compact, power-efficient, and cost-effective footprint. Working with Zenverge ZN200/100 family of ICs, the PacketVideo Twonky server can provide and deliver a true "Anywhere, Anytime, Any Device" media experience for consumer electronics manufacturers, service providers and their customers by ensuring content is formatted to address the limitations of DLNA client devices that are unable to process all forms of DLNA content on the Twonky Server.

"As consumers have increased demand for the highest quality and easy to use media streaming experience, we consider this opportunity to partner with Zenverge as a big step forward in our current goal to provide the user with the most efficient and easy to use streaming experience to multiple devices in their home," said Osama Al-Shaykh,Ph.D, CTO of PacketVideo. "We have worked hard with our partners to ensure TwonkyServer meets the most stringent connectivity demands in the industry, and with the partnership of Zenverge and its TransALL(TM) Transcode engine, this will add just one more element to provide our customers with a seamless streaming experience."

"We are pleased to be able to integrate PacketVideo's TwonkyServer on our ZN 100/200 series of transcoding ICs to give users the most compelling DLNA server solution on the market. Customers will no longer have to determine if content is compatible with their DLNA client as the TwonkyServer with the ZN100/200 transcoder will process content to support the capabilities of the DLNA client," said Shawn Saleem, Executive Vice-President of Marketing for Zenverge. The partnership with PacketVideo provides Zenverge with a very important partner in providing industry leading turnkey solutions to our many top tier customers in the Consumer Electronics and Set-top markets.
