Wowza Media Server® 2, the unified media server software that simultaneously delivers content to any media platform and any screen, is now integrated into Dalet Enterprise Edition Media Asset Management (MAM) under a licensing agreement announced today by Wowza Media Systems.

The integration of Wowza Media Server 2 adds market-proven streaming capabilities to the Dalet MAM platform's already powerful functionality, which includes shot selection, rough-cut editing, quick timeline preview, asset logging, and metadata definition. With integrated Wowza Media Server 2, DaletPlus Webspace Flash® client users will enjoy new capabilities including easy preview of H.264-encoded assets using trick play features like frame-accurate fast forward and rewind.

"Dalet is a leader in enabling customers around the world to effectively produce and manage content in a digital, multiplatform world," said Alex Dobrushin, chief marketing officer of Wowza Media Systems. "The integration of Wowza's award-winning media server technology further enhances the Dalet media asset management offering, which is already considered indispensable by many media enterprises."

Recognized as the Streaming Media Readers' Choice for Best Innovation of 2009, Wowza Media Server is a high-performance video engine that simultaneously delivers content from a single set of live or on-demand H.264 assets to multiple online clients and devices, including Flash, Silverlight®, iPhone®/iPad(TM), Android(TM) and other mobile platforms, as well as IPTV set-top boxes.

"The unique capabilities of Wowza Media Server 2 enabled us to enhance our MAM platform with highly desirable new capabilities," said Kevin Savina, product director of Dalet Digital Media Systems. "We are enthusiastic about the future of the technology partnership between our great companies."

Dalet will showcase the enhanced functionality Wowza affords to its MAM platform at IBC2010, Stand 8.B77. Wowza Media Systems will demonstrate Wowza Media Server 2 and preview five exciting new capabilities at Stand IP321.
