The 2012 World of Asphalt and AGG1 expositions are on target for success:
o Advance registration numbers are tracking ahead of the last two shows.
o Record-breaking exhibit space numbers have already been set for both shows.
o Education tickets purchased to date are also trending upward.

The co-located AGG1 Aggregates Forum & Expo and World of Asphalt Show & Conference will be held March 13-15, 2012 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The events are the industry gathering place for the aggregates, asphalt, pavement maintenance and traffic safety sectors.

"It's still a tough business environment, but savvy professionals know they have to stay competitive; this is where they'll find the latest product innovations and industry learning opportunities," stated Show Director Melissa Magestro. More exhibitors and exhibit space means more equipment and products on display, with a good mix of new and returning companies. The shows feature a New Products and Technologies Preview and Industry Leaders Directory to help attendees more easily find the information to help them succeed.

Education includes more than 90 industry-developed learning sessions with the People, Plants and Paving Training Program, the Asphalt Pavement Alliance's Asphalt Pavement Conference and the AGG1 Academy. And, show attendees can also take part in a plant tour of Martin Marietta's Arrowood Quarry.

More than 20 industry-related organizations are official supporters of World of Asphalt and AGG1, and both shows are industry-owned and operated.

"Industry partnerships and support boost the value of the shows as a one-stop destination to do business, connect with industry experts and share experiences with colleagues," Magestro stated.

Industry Advocacy Efforts
A major topic of discussion among show participants is expected to be the political climate in a presidential election year and the need for job creation and infrastructure investment. "The shows' owner associations and so many show participants are involved with industry advocacy efforts, including through industry-wide initiatives. On the show floor we're pleased to have the I Make America campaign and The Road Connection program," Magestro noted.
